Need help On battery warning. I was out flying today halfway through the flight I noticed there was a warning on the battery. The battery is TB48 It has been charged 10 times. This is the warning that came up. I did run the battery down to 5%. I am going to let it cool off and charge it back up to 100%.

That's apparently how the battery is calibrated. Manual states to discharge tillcopter turns off and fully recharge.

After only 10 chargers I would not think it would need it so soon. I recycled all my batteries last night. Battery status seems to be fine. Thanks guys.

What I've read on the dji forum is that for optimal battery health on new insprire batteries they should only be drained down to 50% for the first 10 cycles to be broken in and then calibrated by draining down to 5% every 10 to 20 cycles.

Thanks. I have 3 TB 48s that have a little over 10 charges on them. Those are the three I took down to 5% and bought them back up to 100 %. I do have one new TB48.

I recently had the same issue. My outcome was was heart breaking. The warning occurred during flight. I attempted to return the Aircraft which was about an 1/8th of a mile out, and an elevation of 30 feet. As I turned the drone around, the battery failed causing it to drop out of the sky. The damage was extensive. Both landing booms, the camera, and gimble were destroyed. As of last night, I was able to rebuild my drone. I almost forgot, thanks to e-bay, it cost over $1800 for parts to repair it. If your fortunate enough, make sure you don’t discharge your battery while flying, land immediately.

Wow sorry to hear that. I was close by when the warning occurred. When I bought it back in I was hovering until I bought it down to 5% then recharged it to 100 %. Sounds like I got lucky. I did recycle my other three batteries that had 10 charges on them. Would it have not been cheaper just to buy another Inspire?

That included a new x5r camera. Not to mention, I now know how to totally tear down and rebuild my drone. Took about three hours for the rebuild.
