I highly recommend purchasing a legacy 9.7" iPad on eBay. Something like the Pro 1. Don't update the iOS (no later than v11) and install an older version of the Go App (v3.1.1. is my recommendation). I've been using this combination for a decade. My Inspire 1 v2 has been 100% reliable, and until a couple months ago (contract ended), I flew her every week for years and years.Does anybody have any recommendations on buying a Crystal sky monitor or iPad. I have no screen at the moment I wanna buy the bus option. Please advise!
Any apple iPad from 8 backwards will work. Don't get an air or any size smaller than a 10in screen. You want a large screen with those cameras for the Inspire 1. Make sure. Make sure that you don't load any games or non flying apps on the iPad that you use to fly the Inspire. Prevents any chance of flight control loss or iPad freezes. And yes I have had those. Also if you are flying on a hot day, and this works with any iPad for all drone flying, carry a couple of those flat ice packs (frozen) in a cooler and when changing the batteries lay the the ice pack to keep them cool. Nothing will scare the poop out of you as when the iPad screen goes black with the over temp warning and your drone is out flying a pattern and you try to fly it in blind. And don't hit the home button. It will return and you better hope you set the return height for where you are flying to avoid the tall trees and or buildings. And lastly, I don't think the crystal sky will work with the Inspire 1 controller. I have a crystal sky that I use with my Phantoms. I have not tried it with my Inspire 1.Does anybody have any recommendations on buying a Crystal sky monitor or iPad. I have no screen at the moment I wanna buy the bus option. Please advise!
