Batteries don't seem to click in to the charger, but do make sure the charger is on a flat even surface and the batteries are firmly pushed in - I've had the battery door tilt slightly under the battery and it was enough to subtly uncouple the battery from the charger, came back to find one battery charged and the other not Also put the batteries in the charger and according to the charger led lights they've not gone on to charging, unplugging and firmly reinserting the battery resolved that one.
