Just got a x5 and took it out with a panasonic 42.5. In video mode it works great. When switching to camera mode the image got all distorted. Anyone know what is going on?
Micro Four Thirds lenses have profiles embedded into them, which certain software (like Lightroom) uses to render images, fix distortion, etc. It could be that the software you are using isn't applying this profile properly.
Also, if you are shooting raw, try JPG and see if that makes a difference. I believe that the DJI camera will apply the profile when creating a JPG.
I had the Inspire 1 on the ground and switched from video to camera and that is when the images become very distorted in the dji go app. The video part worked. The distortion is something that was more than I have ever seen from geometric distortion from a lens. I was shooting a raw images but will try a jpeg. But I wanted the raw obviously for post processing.
In this thread about half way down the exact same thing happened. Fixed with a program for a mac. I have a mac. Anyone else have this issue and fixed it?
