Bob. Answering 2. The stock 15mm lens is a very competent, re-badged Panasonic lens and will be absolutely fine for mapping, though you will obviously need to take more images from a similar height to match the overlap of the 12mm lens. 3. The Olly 12mm is a beautiful lens and worth looking out for in the secondhand market. Photographers tend to look after their toys so this is s low-risk way of getting low cost glass as long as you source from a reputable source. The micro 4/3 cropped sensor effectively doubles the gocal lengths of the lenses so a 12mm becomes 24mm (35mm equivalent). So it isn't such an ultra wide-angle lens and distortion doesn't tend to be an issue.
