Exactly the same happens when a bird hits the airplane. For this reason The Dalles municipal airport hired a boats firing loud firecrackers to scare flocks of pelicans resting near the bridge. With limited success, I must report after witnessing the outcome. You can't blame birds fishing below the dam as any fisherman will. But you can prosecute idiots, flying drones within clearly determined NFZ. There's no excuse for ignorance and/or stupidity.
