Purpose of free camera mode?

Just wondering what the purpose of the free camera mode would be used for? thanks.

Just wondering what the purpose of the free camera mode would be used for?

The Free camera mode keeps the camera pointed in the same direction (subject to gimbal limits) regardless of which direction the I1 is facing. This can be used if you are doing a panning shot without the I1's forward or sideways motion or heading affecting the shot. It is not the same as the camera tracking a Point of Interest (POI) which is currently not available.
