Hi everyone,
I am new to this group.
I recently bought a Inspire one.
I got 5 batteries with it. Here is the break down:
1 - Good
2 - Usable
2 - Need to be recelled.

After doing a lot of research I found the exact battery numbers:

TB47 3.7V 2250mAh - 5634A7
TB48 3.8V 2850mAh -6135A6

The size of the cells are 34x106.

So here are some other Cell options:

2300 MAH 30C -803496,Dimensions is Thickness x Width x Length =8.0x34x96mm,weight:49.35g

2300 MAH 40C - 833496,Dimensions is Thickness x Width x Length =8.3x34x96mm,weight:54.9g

2600 MAH 30C - 7534106,Dimensions is Thickness x Width x Length =7.5x34x106mm,weight:53g

2800 MAH 7C - DC01A3,Dimensions is Thickness x Width x Length =5.6x34x107mm,weight:53g

2600 MAH 35C - 8534106,Dimensions is Thickness x Width x Length =8.5x34x106mm,weight:57.6g

2600 MAH 35C - 8534106,Dimensions is Thickness x Width x Length =8.5x34x106mm,weight:57.6g

2700 MAH 35C - 703496,Dimensions is Thickness x Width x Length =7.0x34x96mm,weight:49g

So here was my idea:
These are all standardize for RC Lipos. Rather than paying $20 per cell.
I am going to buy a battery that already has them. Tear it down and take the cells to put them into a normal TB47 Battery.
I know I could just do run a XT90 and do all that, However I want it to look factory and I want to use the factory charger.

So here is the battery I am looking at:

CNHL 3S Lipo Battery 2200mAh 30C 11.1V

I believe this uses the 803496 cells as listed above. It comes with two battery for $40 including tax. (This is CAD)
So I am going to attempt this. If so then I can get a factory looking TB47 with almost the same capacity as new.
If this works then I may have found a cheap and effective way to recell a TB47.
My goal would be realistically finding another RC complete battery with 703496 cells so I can convert a it to a TB48.
For now this is only a proof of concept. If it works on one battery and the results are good then I will move on to doing my battery upgrade.

Please let me know what you think.

Thanks!

Well my plan is to replace all the cells with new ones from another battery. Maybe a rebuild.
Yes, "rebuild." I'm following this thread to see how it goes.

For posterity:

Product Recall: A process where a company retrieves defective or unsafe products from consumers, often for repair or replacement.

My thread is Recell. Not recall fyi. I think you misread it.

As I am re doing the Cells on the battery not as in the product had a recall from the manufacturer
