Hey doods!!

So running some M600 Pro tests today at the Malloof RC Park. What a dichotomy that a dedicated RC park is < 3nm from a Class D airport.

Not surprising. If it’s a dedicated RC club, they most likely worked with the airport to get permission to operate there at some point.

There is, or was, a really popular flying field near (not sure exactly how far) JFK that operated for years without any issues.

The RC community has been operating under AMA rules and guidelines for 50+ years, which include things like hours of operation, height/distance limits and very strict frequency control procedures (that are more relaxed now with the advent of digital transmitters and bound receivers.
 

Yep. And if you look at the AMA rules, seems the FAA got THEIR drone rules right out of the AMA playbook.
