where to calibrate compass...

hi guys and gals,
i live in budapest and have a gig going on tonight but the event will take place on a boat that is at rest on the danube river. its all steel and steel is all around... i don't live far (about 20km) i don't have any steel underground in my yard... should i calibrate at home and check values on sight to make sure i am good to fly??

thanks for the answer... i was in a hury and not able to calib at home but on my last gig i was out of town about 200km away from budapest and did my last calib there with no issues at flying... i will leave it then this way and only do new calib if really needed...

As I said before.I have a look at my app and when it tells me no calibration needed,I skip the "dance".Have been around for more then 300 km and it was still ok.
