Not sure why when depressing the button 5 times or whatever it is to get it to go into travel mode it is only powering on now. I never had this happen before any idea? Thanks.

Burned out servo, or stuck worm drive screw.
Put a smallish flat blade in the hole in the belly and lower it manually then test again.

Yep I can second this. Had a brand new i2 that had this issue not long ago. Send it back to DJI for repair.
