Battery Question

In the market for something larger than my P4s to handle the wind. Two questions. first, is the I2 using both batteries at the same time or does it draw on one and the second one is just for redundancy?

Second, just wondering if there is a big learning curve moving from the P4 to I2. Have hundreds of hours with the P3, P4 and go-app

The I2 uses both at the same time so they drain (roughly) equally, but can land/return to home on one battery in emergency.

Not that much of a learning curve in the flying department, but a bit with regards to the camera especially if moving to the X5S rather than the X4S. The go app is pretty much the same, although again with X5S some more settings.
