Evening everyone. Getting out of the drone business and I'm looking for a little advice.

I have a complete Inspire 1V2.0 kit, 3 TB 47's, Zenmuse X5 camera with multiple lens, two filter kits, X3 camera, dual controllers, multiple replacement props, battery warmer, four bank battery charger with two charging cables all stored in a custom iservice skb rolling waterproof/dustproof case with pressure relief discs.

I bought the system used in 2017 (2nd owner) and it has been well maintained and never crashed. I used it for roof inspections, real estate shoots, B roll footage for a local tv station and a couple of emergency scenes (retired fire fighter) where we needed a birds eye view but this was before before our drone unit went online.

I am reducing stuff around the house so my question is this. Would it be better to part out or sell the entire outfit for one money?

Thanks in advance for the help!

I would list the sale price of each component you wish to part out and then a total at the bottom for those who wish to purchase the entire package. Naturally, the total should reflect a discount.

Of all the items on your list, you would need to be specific with the batteries; How many flights (charges)? Condition? Etc. If the batteries have a lot of flights on them and weren't stored correctly, they may be all but worthless.

You might not want to hear this, but about 2 months ago I bought an Inspire 1 v2 Pro Black edition with x5 camera, 3 lenses, dual controllers, 6 batteries, some lens filters, DJI FPV goggles (he just threw those in), and other bits and pieces, hard case (of course) for $1400. It had about 30 hours on it.

I did not need or really have an impulse to get an Inspire, but for the price I decided I wanted piece of history.... and maybe that one off "pro" shot I might need to get :-)

I hear ya. Some of the deals we see on here and out in the world it's tough to justify NOT buying it.

Warning; A little off topic....

One of my endeavors is that I own a sound company. As you can imagine, used music equipment comes across my desk constantly...for pennies on the dollar. I have all the equipment I need and then some. So it's pretty rare when I get sucked in.

I have a bass player friend that I've been doing gigs with for well over 5 years (I play drums). He purchased some equipment (digital audio consoles) in 2019. Unfortunately, he never really learned how to use them and consequently didn't really use them much. In fact, the more expensive of the two consoles remained in the original shipping material and was never opened. For YEARS this guy has been trying to sell me these consoles. Every time I saw him the price got lower and lower. I'll spare you the details, but at today's prices this equipment was worth roughly $8,000+. This for 2 consoles, a stage box and incidentals (cables and whatnot). His initial costs were over $10,000 (prices have come down a bit on the consoles).

About 3 months ago he says, "How about I let you have the whole thing for $3,000." Now, I need more audio consoles like I need a hole in the head, but I just couldn't resist. One of the consoles is a club industry standard that I now use at every club date. The other is a concert level console that I still haven't used, but have opened it, updated the firmware and loaded several band profiles into. It's standing by.

I guess my point is that sometimes it's really hard to resist the purchase of new gear, especially when the prices are so low you almost can't justify NOT buying it. At the very WORST, I will be able to sell the more expensive console to cover the purchase of both consoles and the stage box - essentially netting about $4,000+ worth of gear for free. I haven't decided yet. Decisions, decisions....
