Bearing Replacement How To Video

Hi guys,

a quick confirmation I need here.
is this the partnumber for our Inspire 1 bearing replacement?

SMR685C-YZZ NB2 by Boca Bearings :: Ceramic Bearing Specialists

if yes I will get the 12 pcs (4 spare) and get me the 35% discount if I am not to late already...

thanks
Martin

That's the correct size and will fit. However, the bearing part number I bought was "SMR685C-2-OS #7 AF2". But in kit form, meaning they package 2 for a lower price, the part number is "#BMK-013-C-OS". These contain an orange seal instead of a metal one and the ceramic bearings come oiled not dry. That's what the AF2 means at the end of the bearing number. And the other component of the number identifies the hardness of the races and so on. As I said in an earlier post, there are so many choices for that same size bearing (5x11x5) that the hardest part of the job was deciding which one to buy. I am no expert by any means and chose the one I did after talking to the sales technician. But if your part number is the right size, it will work.

Martin, the NB2 in that part number indicates they are lubed with heavy duty grease. LD in part number means dry and AF2 means light oil. I am not sure if you want a bearing with grease. But like I said above, I am no expert. maybe someone here can chime in on this point. Or talk to Boca, they are really helpful people.

I was more concerned with the effect on cold weather flying.
Here are the ones I am looking at: http://www.bocabearings.com/bearing-inventory/Radial-Bearings/16950/5x11x5-SMR685C2OS7AF2
I agree with your concern about the grease. Give them a call and they will help with a recommendation. The Boca people are familiar with the DJI products. I replaced the bearings in my Phantom2+, with Boca ceramic bearings. It was quieter, and I swore the flight time was longer. (probably not)
