Broken x5R gimbal arm. Ugh!

Has anyone sent their X5R in to DJI for repair? I imagine I am not the first (or last) to snap this part. Curious how much they will charge.

Thank you! That sounds a lot better than buying a replacement. I was leary of sending it out and paying for shipping both ways to hear an exhorbatant quote and end up buying one on eBay.

That was (is) the Achilles Heel of the X5/X5R. I had one break after a very mild collision with a tree branch.
I sure hope they learned from this and designed the X5S better.

Agreed. They are heavy cameras for that gimbal arm. Same thing with mine.

$1-150 ish. Unfortunately they’re seem to charge at random.

I ended up sending mine in and the total was $323. $195 of that was labor. They must have sent via the “slow boat from China” back from California, but I did get it back good as new with no issues.

just send in the camera no lens. they have all the rest needed there to test it after fixing it

Geneg73, I packed up the X5R with the lens in the stock case. No need to send in everything else. They have everything they need to test it. Good luck!
