Cooling down my IPad Air 2

Marc please let us know how you went as this interest me, by enabling this does have any effect on the video feed as you are always loosing it on our Inspire 1s, a=been trying to find a solutions to this issue. Thinking of getting Itelite boosters to help with the feed.

Thank you for any assistance you may give

Flew yesterday. 3 flight batteries (2x47's and 1x48). No problems with overheating. My sun shade has always been on. Never utilized an IPad case. Enabling has always been on, even during the overheating incident. I truly believe the overheating was due to 86+ degree temp, high humidity and direct/sunlight (even with the sunshade).
Regarding video feed, I obviously lost it when the iPad shut down. I only lost it one other time & I think it was due to a water tower, dense trees, and a communications tower. I've probably flown about 20 total flights and learning something new every time. Overall, I'm very impressed with the Inspire 1 purchase. I added a 2 year insurance policy ($200 deductible). The policy is only valid for damage (no fly always or theft). I did attach a small GPS receiver that works great.....just in case

It has been super hot and humid here in South West Florida also. I know this system isn't for everyone, I have a marine designed umbrella that has a quick release mount for boat rails that fits perfect on my manfrotto tripod. It keeps me a bit cooler also.

Marc,
Here is what I have found.... I haven't tried any of them
Ipad cooler

I have used a little cooler with blue ice package in a plastic bag when it gets hot because that's what I bring my water in. It works but it is a pain to get every thing set back up. (only had to do it twice)

These are cool. No pun intended, but i just have a small insulated lunch bag that I keep in the freezer with a blue ice package in a plastic bag. I put my iPad mini in it on my way to where I am flying. I fly a pack and then return it to the bag. It cools down quickly with the back of the iPad in contact with the frozen pack. I am ready to fly in minutes. Nothing high tech but you have to make do when you are always flying in 100F + temps.
