Couple of questions regarding prores and in the field data transfer from cine ssd

Hi all!

Can anyone shed some light on the best way to do data transfer in the field for cine ssd? I'm just creating a long-term forecast for my business but that what equipment we will need to buy in the next year. Do you think I need to buy a cheap laptop with USB 3 to act as a conduit with external HD or SSD?

The Cinestation is USB 3 so having something that uses USB 3 to connect to it would be the best and fastest - and if you can get an SSD (or an array of SSDs) that is your quickest way to write the data. Writing to SSDs is substantially faster than writing to regular HDs - and you have the extra safety of no moving parts to get banged around in the field.

I know DJI has a solution in development in a partnership with Seagate for a HD that automatically transfers the SSD content in the field without the need for a computer. I don't guess it's been released yet...
