Are you sure about your claim that ALL batteries charge simultaneously? According to this screenshot, only two pairs of batteries are charging. Note the arrows pointing to 0.0A. 0.0A means that these batteries are NOT charging.

And it's clear that the charger is charging the batteries that are the most drained first (note the capacities of each battery). Most charger algorithms charge the batteries that are least drained first because they charge quicker. This is so the pilot can keep flying as much as possible. As it stands, this charger is going to make the pilot wait at least 55 minutes before he can fly.

I imagine as the batteries become more charged (and amperage demands drop), it's possible that *eventually* all 8 batteries might start charging simultaneously. But honestly, that is not the same thing as charging all 8 batteries simultaneously ALL the time. I have a TB48 charger that truly does charge 6 batteries simultaneously regardless of their remaining capacities.

This looks like a great charger, but you might want to check your claims.

Also, you didn't list a price.

Did I miss something because I don’t see a price anywhere

I am positive it charges all 8 simultaneously. Also, I forgot to list a price, that,s on me. $900.

The photos you provided doesn't flush that out. I think I did a good job of explaining the evidence. You should make an equal effort to refute the evidence instead of just dismissing it.

Thatsalottadough! Thanx.

Why is it that people think it is up to someone else to prove their doubts? He made a statement which IS true and you doubt his claim based on your guesses about a screenshot.

This is straight from DJI:” With efficient, intelligent management, the DJI Battery Station ensures that shooting equipment is always ready to use. The Battery Station can charge up to eight TB50 batteries simultaneously.”

Because that's the way life works. @mediafriend made an assertion. I refuted that assertion. So, YES, it's incumbent on him to make a counterargument. If you or he are unable, incapable or unwilling to make a counterargument, then my point stands that the charger does NOT charge 8 batteries simultaneously. Your choice is to either concede or refute. If you choose to dismiss, well then you lose the argument. Very simple. Common sense.

Guesses? LOL...you're kidding, right? CLEARLY, you lack understanding of how electricity works. ZERO AMPS means NO CHARGING. Period. It's not a "guess." I suggest you Google "Ohm's Law."

Ahhhhh....The favorite hyperbolic catch phrase of all time; "Up to." This means that SOMETIMES it charges 8 batteries, which is EXACTLY what I said. It's like when your local Internet company advertises "downloads UP TO 500Mbps." This absolutely, 100% does NOT mean that you're going to get 500Mbps downloads. This means that there is a "chance" that "maybe" you will get 500Mbps downloads if you're lucky, and under the right conditions. This charger hyperbole is the exact same thing. You can charge UP TO 8 batteries SOMETIMES under SOME conditions. This is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from a charger that ALWAYS charges ALL batteries at all times simultaneously.

All that said...

It would be pretty easy to simply plug an ammeter inline with the charger and wall plug and take a reading. 8 batteries x 180 watts (quick charge) = 1440 watts. Divide this by 110 volts = about 13.1 amps. If this device pulls 13+ amps while charging 8 batteries, then just maybe it IS charging 8 batteries all at once. In which case I would question the charger's LED readout. I can say with 100% confidence that, unless something is malfunctioning, according to the screenshot I shared (which was a screenshot of one of the photos the OP posted) that only FOUR batteries are charging.

Discuss.

D

I would assume, with fear if making a a$$of myself lol, that it starts charging batteries in pairs until all eight are charging and the pic was taken during that time.

Would it be possible for the OP to put eight batteries in the charger and wait a bit to see if that is the case?
You say:
The favorite hyperbolic catch phrase of all time; "Up to." This means that SOMETIMES it charges 8 batteries,……or it could mean that it will charge up to eight depending on how many you have inserted into the charger.
