I work for a surveying company that is starting to use drones for aerial mapping. We have a DJI Phantom 4 Pro, but the battery life is not very long. We currently get about 20 mins of flight time per fully charged battery, and it takes about 45 mins to fully charge the battery. We have 5 batteries, so if we start with them all 100% charged, we would get about 2 hrs and 20 mins of flight time if we started charging a battery right away. Im'm tryin to figure out an equation where x number of batteries would equal the maximum flight time if we kept charging batteries as they were used. We can only charge 1 battery at a time though. Overall goal is to determine whether we should buy more batteries. https://scrabblewordfinder.vip/ https://www.applock.ooo/ https://www.7zip.vip/

Since this is a dedicated Inspire forum I would venture to suggest you direct your question over on the Phantom board at DJI Phantom Drone Forum

I would also suggest you use the search feature on the forum since this question has cropped up many times previously.

Although you asked your question in the wrong forum (this forum is for the Inspire), I would suggest purchasing more batteries. Especially if you're using a car charger to recharge one battery at a time. Recharge time could be almost an hour.

Buy a parrellel charger, I can fly a P4/P4 RTK all day with 5 batteries, a 2KVA inverter in my truck and a 3-way parallel charger.

I clocked up over 40 hours in the air last week using this setup. You need to make sure your vehicle's electrics are up to the task, install heavy cable to the inverter directly from the battery (with fuse) keep the motor running, or buy a generator. either works fine.

I've been doing this for about two years and still get well over 25mins per battery, even without letting them cool completely. Might be a different story in a hotter and drier country than the UK.

We do this with an Inspire2. It takes 4 chargers and 6 battery sets (so one set can be cooling before charging). You’ll never do this with a single car charger. You’ll need a generator or a large inverter. Be sure to leave your car idling if you use an inverter. A Prius is ideal!
