Hello everyone,

Considering I spend a lot of time online looking for accessories for my Inspire, I think a dedicated thread for Inspire 1 Accessories will help some users of this forum to save some time and compare fast different products.
I will start this thread with a post regarding all hard custom Inspire 1 cases available at the moment, I will update the post when new products will be available.
In this way we can have all hard custom cases manufacturers in one thread, easy to compare and test online.

European customers should check HPRC, MC-CASES, DRONELAND & MRAXESORRIES they are the only manufacturers, from the list below, located in Europe

In the following days I will add new posts for Soft/Backpacks Inspire 1 Solution, ND Filters, LUTs, Trackers etc.

Most of the Inspire 1 cases available now support Travel Mode, the only Landing Mode cases are made by GoProfessional, Drone Armour AND Tradecraftcases, I also received an e-mail from HPRC, they informed me a Landing mode case is in development. Also the CaseClub case seems to be Landing Mode compatible, but I’m not sure, it has to be checked with the company.

Hopefully some of you will save some time while searching for the perfect Inspire 1 gear, enjoy your birds !

Thank you Chris, hope it will help you make the best decision.

Jus updated the post with a new link to TRADECRAFTCASES, they also have a Landing Mode case available, also they have an interesting accessory for Inspire 1, first of its kind, called Inspire 1 Quickstrap, really nice idea for transporting your Inspire between close landing sites.

I just tried out my Zeiss Cinemizer OLED and they were awesome,
no more hiding under a tree to see my display. I like using the Master controller hooked to my Galaxy note4 and the Cinemizer hooked to the Slave controller. If I hook the Cinemizer to the Master and switch it for duel outputs the picture on both cut in and out.

I'm always a little wary of those fragile handle with care stickers. Baggage handlers seem to like those as a 'challenge' and a target for mass destruction.

You got that right :(. Still, I have them for any honest baggage handler who might care enough to heed the request to handle with care. I depend on the case to do the protecting.

The GPC case is awesome. It was new and shiny before, not so much after a recent flight on JetBlue from Cancun to Boston. The original I1 case would have been shredded and crying for its mommy:

That's great news! Tahoe Ed had stated they'll only recognize a max of 64GB, but that was way back in January... probably some firmware update expanded it since then. 128GB is more video/photo space than I could use on one outing, but I already have a couplemSD cards that size for another device, so...

Woohoo!

To be fair I haven't loaded them up with the 4.5hrs of 4K video it would take to fill to test but that'd be easy enough to try.

As a Cinemizer user, I agree, and it seems both products, Cinemizer and Inspire share a similar design, they make a good pair together.
However, there are a lot of FPV solutions out there, and the purpose of this thread is to have all the manufactureurs of Inspire accesories mentioned equally, on different sections, for the interested users.
That being said, I will add now the FPV section :)

FPV GOGGLES

ZEISS CINEMIZER http://www.zeiss.com/cinemizer-oled/en_de/home.html
FATSHARK http://www.fatshark.com
HEADPLAY http://www.headplay.com
SONY http://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/head-mounted-display/t/head-mounted-display

The products below might require hdmi to video converter:

PIRATE EYE http://www.payatechnology.com
SKYZONE http://www.fpvmodel.com/skyzone-sky02-v2-aio-3d-fpv-goggles_g857.html (no website of the brand)
BOSCAM http://www.boscam.cn
EPSON MOVERIO http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/jsp/Landing/moverio-bt-200-smart-glasses.do?ref=van_moverio_2014 (at the moment they are not compatible with Inspire, but there are rumors DJI & EPSON are working on it)

p.s Zeiss Cinemizer production ended in February 2015, so the only option to get it is from remaining stock. I heard also some Fatshark models, like Dominator, are in the same situation, it has to be double checked.
Hope this post will help you to find your favourite FPV solution, enjoy your birds !

Nice, let us know after you make your first FPV flights with it

Sirnikolas will get his first (his order number is considerably lower than mine), but we'll certainly keep you informed.

Picture of Sirnikolas learning that his Headplay has shipped and is on the way...

I thought the Inspire could only use microSD cards with a max capacity of 64GB. It would be awesome if it could do 128GB... have you tried it successfully?

Speaking of large capacity microSD cards.
When I ordered my Inspire I bought a few Samsung Pro MicroSD cards, 64 GB each.
As anyone would normally think, I thought biggest is the best.
Experience proved me the opposite.
After enjoying my Inspire for the last couple months I seriously think the best way is to have smaller microSD cards, 16 GB for example, and to change them after each flight, together with the new battery.
The reasons are simple, you never know what's gonna happen the next flight, pilot error or hardware/software error might be around the corner, and just in case something bad happens you have your previous footage saved and safe.
This is how I do it, every time I change the battery I change the card also, and it gives me piece of mind for the next flight, especially when I managed to get some nice shots in the previous flights.
It takes a second to do it, and anyway you have to land every 15-20 minutes to get some juice for the bird.
Think about it :)

Yeah I've heard that argument before but if I'm really afraid my bird will be lost at sea every flight and have to carry around and track 10-15 cards and remember what's on each, spending extra time swapping and wear and tear in the slot...well, frankly it's less fun for me.

I like to load up a card and head out for a day of finding great spots and flying and capturing as much 4K video as I can capture.

Come home, pull the card, dump it to NAS and when it's done start the editing process.

One step, nice and simple, for up to 4.5 hours of 4K.

To each his own I guess.

No doubt, having a larger capacity card makes setup easier. But on the other hand there were several situations out there, where beside crashing their birds, people were very upset for losing their aerial work from their previous flights.
Risks are not only over the sea, a little tree branch can easily put the bird down.
Actually, so far I heard only about one crash over the water, guess Inspire is afraid of swimming :)
But as you say, to each his own I guess.
It's the same with travel mode / landing mode cases, some people like to take off faster, others think it's to risky for the gimbal to be transported like this or the case is too heavy etc.
Guess that's why we're all following this forum, to learn new ways of using this product and to choose the way it suits best our interest.
