INSPIRE 1 Accesories

You got that right :(. Still, I have them for any honest baggage handler who might care enough to heed the request to handle with care. I depend on the case to do the protecting.

The GPC case is awesome. It was new and shiny before, not so much after a recent flight on JetBlue from Cancun to Boston. The original I1 case would have been shredded and crying for its mommy:

does the pressure release valve say SKB on it ? It looks very much like the one I built my charger case in

I was planning to post this last week, but my little son had different plans with my spare time :)
Below you will find information about the major manufactureurs of Inspire Compatible trackers, a must accesorry in every pilot's gear, considering the dreaded fly-away situation.

There are a lot of gps trackers available on the market, I tried to select only the models specifically designed for UAV industry, light design, easy to install etc.
Also some of the gps trackers available on the market do not have a brand behind, an official website, a customer service departement, so I decided to mention only the serious players available at the moment.

P.s we all have favourite brands, favourite accesories, but the purpose of this thread is to have all the Inspire 1 accesories manufactureurs mentioned objectively, without personal favors, on separate sections, so every pilot can do his own research fast, in order to choose his favourite piece of gear.
For example, from the trackers mentioned above, some people think Marco Polo is a better solution , as it does not require GSM connection, other think a GSM tracker like Trackimo is better as it offers more protection on longer distance flights etc.
It's up to you to decide, as every pilot has diferrent flight plans, some fly most of the time in urban areas, other are enjoying their birds exclusively in remote areas, so you should choose carefully the tracker suitabie for your actions.
I will also post my personal list of gear, but only after I will consider my Inspire 1 accesories research is complete, and that will definitely take some time :)
Enjoy, hope you'll find your favourite tracker fast & easy !

Discontinued but you can still find it for sale easily. I use this one.

I was thinking also to mentioned it, but I was not sure it will fit the Inspire, due to its size and weight, also on their website it appeared "discontinued". It's good to know you use it and it works, if you can add a photo with it attached to the Inspire, so we can have a real size comparisson it would be great, thanks.

Note: if I were looking for a new tracking system now (I've had my GTU-10 for a few years), I'd probably look at that Optimal Tracker (4.8g, range 3km!!) or Flytrex live for Inspire.

Optimal looks like indeed like the optimal tracker at the moment, no GSM plans, better range than Marco Polo, lighter etc.
However, the price it's far from optimal, as in order to use it you need to purchase a complete system, receiver & transmitter, for around 500 euros. Marco Polo provides only 2 miles range, but the complete system, receiver & transmitter, costs less than 200 euros.
It would be great to have a real test, comparisson of both products to see if this huge price difference is justified, but it is very hard to find decent reviews online, as both products are quite new.
Also there were reported fly-aways, longer than 5 miles, and in that case a GSM tracker is a better solution, as it covers longer range, as long as you have GSM signal.
As I said, it depends on your flight plan, and probably in the best case scenario is to have them bith installed, I have seen pilots using for example Marco Polo combined with Trackimo, for complete fly-away peace of mind.

Wow, that's a serious chunk of change. For that money I'd probably go with the Flytrex live then (GSM). I'm a bit biased though: I am a Flytrex classic user on my Phantom 2.

Plus I kinda like earning the badges :)

The Flytrek record challenge system is very smart, a great way to promote your product and to build a community around it. They just released the information of a new costum Inspire 1 Flytrek tracker to be available soon, but no further informations about it, like photos, specs etc.

P.s also take in consideration Flytrex is not an external tracker, out of the box plug and play solution.
It requires to remove your Inspire 1 front canopy, discconect some cables, atttach the Inspire 1 adapter etc.
Most of the trackers presented above are external, easy to attach & remove to aircraft body, so take that also in consideration.

If you have nightmares with your Inspire 1 falling from the sky, maybe you should check the links below.
Even if you're a very optimistic pilot, you should know that a parachute is mandatory in some countries if you're doing commercial aerial works.
Not so many options available at the moment, but it should offer you some peace of mind and secure a smooth landing.

PARACHUTES

SKYCAT http://www.skycat.pro
MARS PARACHUTE http://www.marsparachutes.com
FLYING EYE http://www.flyingeye.fr/produits-services/drones/

P.s If you have heart problems, be careful when you access the Flying Eye website, the price of their parachute might cause you a sudden panic attack :)
However, the Flying Eye parachute is the first one created exclusively for Inspire 1, so you should definitely have a look, as the design and concept are really well made, hopefully somebody in China reads this post too :)

BACKPACK SOLUTIONS

DRAGONSKY http://www.ehirobo.com/dragonsky-ds...-backpack-adapter-for-dji-inspire-1-case.html (no official website )
KIMURARC http://www.kimurarc.com/product/html/?59.html
MICRORAPTOR http://microraptorcases.com/product...ts-the-dji-inspire-1-value-added-factory-case

P.s B&W has various sizes for their Back Pack System, it was designed to fit their different cases, just look online for B&W BPS 60, this is the model that will fit your DJI case.

I have the Aerial Media Pro case in case anyone has questions about it :)
I decided to go with them instead of the GoProfessional case because everything is below the top of the foam and doesn't press against the lid, and it's a Pelican.

So far it fits everything I need for the Inspire except for the Zeiss FPV glasses in its case. If I packaged it without the case no problem.
