Ok so I seem to have bricked my inspire 1 (X5 Raw).
As you can see in the log, I seem to have fried module 19 00 as the installed firmware just keeps showing ver 0.0.0.0 and refuses to update.
Does anybody know what 19 is ??
Any suggestions appreciated

If you're using the RAW camera to roll back your firmware, you are in totally uncharted waters. You should be using your X3 for that. At the very minimum, your X5 (but the X3 has a much higher success rate).

Also, if your Inspire has ever been repaired by DJI, all bets are off. They are known for installing replacement components that are incompatible with legacy firmware, which is why I will NEVER send any of my birds to them for repair.

Good luck.

Yes I had successfully rolled back to 1.08 using an X5 (I don't own an X3). I then started getting in flight battery errors on a couple of my batteries (TB48). I then read that each battery needed to be rolled back also, I started doing 1.08 firmware updates with each battery installed. That's when the trouble started and I can see in the logs exactly where module 19 shat itself. I am looking at second hand Ncore units now as they seem to be available for sub $100. I have always been able to repair the bird myself and its never been to DJ lie. So I will update if that is successful. Thanks

Well...I rolled back all my batteries, but not because I was getting battery errors. My bird flew just find. I just thought I would do it for consistency.

Perfect.

I don't know what module 19 is.

Will do,
Module 19 (19 00 in the logs) appears to be a chip in the Ncore module. This is speculation based on the phantom product but people in that forum have had the same error. It is a chip related to image transmission and I seem to have made mine unhappy and cannot bring it back.

I had mine x5r downgraded without any issues. I did not downgraded the batteries, there where no errors on that matter and all was working fine for a few weeks until on a gig I've got compas error that I can't get rid off and wasn't able to complete the calibration. The only way to fix it permanently was to upgrade to the last fw.

From where you got the 1.08 bin file? Note that It could be damaged, some people are uploading already recompiled bin files and that is something that should be avoid at any cost. I personally decompiled mine and compared it with other versions to be sure the file was not previously manipulated and is genuine.
Maybe you should try to downgrade to 1.06 and then go up to 1.08.

hmm sounds like the compass error I had a while back... I was able to fix it by removing the nose cone and reseating the connectors that join the compass module to the Ncore unit.
You refer to 1.06, I have never seen this version. The repository I use jumps from 1.04 to 1.08. If such firmware exists, could you point me in the right direction, I have thrown everything at this beast but never 1.06;)

Actually 1.06 is for the Inspires before pro/raw was released and should work only on X3 camera, I'm sorry for the confusion.
For Pro version the first official fw update was v01.08.00.90, if you have succeeded somehow in downgrading to 1.04 with X5 camera attached that could be the culprit for your situaton. Maybe try to downgrade or upgrade with X3 attached to see if this will resolve the problem with this module and then if it goes well to upgrade the X5 only.

Is there a link to a repository?
Thanks.

Here’s what I was able to find for the raw cameras on DJIs website. I wouldn’t use the dank downloads or any other modded bin files as long as DJI is still hosting them on their sites.

I think I bricked my FC with one testing a theory, and am currently grounded while I sort thru parameters.

UPDATE:
Ok, I finally got my Ncore unit in the post and hooked her up.
All looks good, firmware 1.8.1.40 cam firmware is already on the replacement unit, RC unit linked up straight away (wouldn't link with 19_00 error previously) so I think I'm back in the air with this baby.
Lessons learned: OK it was $100 lesson so not a bank breaker but I think where I broke it was doing firmware update after firmware update on each battery. I have 6 batteries so I think I must have cooked a chip in the Ncore unit by not allowing enough cooling time between updates.
Don"t repeat my stupidity people....

Did you buy a used Ncore or a new one for $100? Where did you buy yours from?

I think I did the exact same thing with mine as I've been jumping around in firmware trying to find the best setup for my uses.

Good information. It's hard to believe with that loud-as-heck cooling fan that ANYTHING could cook. But best to err to the side of caution.

Glad you were able to fix this problem. The final gem in your drone Nirvana equation is to install Go App v3.1.1 and then lock it all down, including your iOS. Your Inspire 1 will be yours forever. I've been flying mine roughly 10 missions/month for years with nary a problem.

Good work!
