Inspire 1 Pro - limited range at the end of the day

I don’t believe it’s a firmware issue. I think it’s an app issue with iOS devices. Or in other words the dji go app for iOS has issues. I didn’t have problems until I updated to the 3.1.15 iOS go app. That and my android device works perfectly fine with the newer firmware. Bugs in the iOS app seem to be the root of the problem.I have made developers aware of the problem.
That’s really interesting as I have always assumed it was FW as it appeared to start shortly afterwards. The go app could of course been updated at around the same time confusing the source of the problem

The thing I’m trying to figure out now if the problem just exists with the newest firmware and newest iOS app or is the issue still there with older firmware with the newest iOS app. Trying to see if the whole problem lies within the app or if it’s the app not communicating with the new firmware properly.
If the previous FW could be reinstalled which I understand isn’t possible it would make the diagnosis of this issue easier.

It’s possible to reinstall the older firmware. Have to add a debug file into the root of the sad card along with the firmware bin that you would be using.

That is good to know as FW upgrades can sometimes bring unwanted outcomes.

Hi There. Has anyone has updated their laptop, ipad or iphone with the new Mac High Sierra Mac os 11.1.1 already? any issues running the DJI Go app and flying with their Inspire?

I would roll back your firmware to v1.08 (v1.6 on Remote Controller). I have run this version through 3 birds and 5 controllers for over 100 combined hours with flawless results. Here's how:

After a day of flying, no problems, no restriction area, no nfz or anything, at the end of the day, I had a weird thing going. For some reason I got limited at 40m distance from the homepoint.

Any idea what was going on?
I had something similar happen to me and realized it was the antennas getting pushed down out of position.

While that would cause reception problems, it wouldn't cause geofencing. It's easy to run an Inspire 1 out past its range. Once it loses connection, it just comes home. No geofencing, though.

I have noticed now the restriction has been corrected since the go app updated itself a few days ago. Free at last.
