Iphone 5s to Ipad mini 2

Hi i have been using Iphone 5S and was working fine . Today I used Ipad Mini 2 and have to say the video feed back while flying was quite choppy and lagging. I would have thought the ipad would have been a lot better then the 5s ?

Also had Ipad in airplane mode and no running apps in background .

Make sure to kill all unnessery applications before starting the DJI pilot appl.

Only app running was DJi app .
