Spot on. Tata has owned JLR since 2008.

Yes it's Tata since 2008. But before that Ford for a while, hence the Ford transit motor and dash (!) in later Defenders, which I won't touch of course. And before that BMW. After draining the IP from Landrover and developing the X5 they quickly sold it to Ford.

Ironic how one of most iconic car brands got tossed around over the last 25 years.
