Just a fun share... My Inspire 1v2's (Raw & Pro) needed a little uplift for my aging 60's eyes to quickly spot, and since no decal outfit provided a nice skin set that actually fit, choose neon orange paint. I tired 3 decal companies, and the Inspire 1 decal sets are the worst I've seen in both color and fit. For comparison I've included the Magic Pro & Mavic Air fully skinned.

The painting of small parts was an education along the way, when I do another set, I'll change the process. I applied a white undercoat, color coats, and clear top coats. I wouldn't bother with the undercoat next time, just extra weight not needed on the white bodies. I shot these in my garage, and wet sanded between coats so they aren't showroom quality... started out as a quick job that became a little more in-depth. The sections that fit together: Battery Caps, struts, Nose Cone all needed to be cleaned to allow a non-stressful fit or prevent the paint for semi-bonding together.

The total weight gain wasn't as bad as I had expected. With all the extra coats: base coats and a few redo- shoots of color & clear due to bug or small debris found the wet part. The weight gain was 17g or .55 oz.
This should be more like 8-9grams if I had applied a little more thought... next time!

On the Inspire 2 or Matrice (210 & 600), I'll probably just use a thin neon wrap in highlight areas.

Very nice work. I did one in blue. I have a Nother body that is ready for paint when I get tired of the blue. The problem is trying to find battery tops that I can paint without buying a new battery.
