Replacing your own motors

Thanks for that. With the X5R, the airframe absolutely needs power. But then I guess there'd be less reason to upgrade to hex's and octa's.. I'm concluding the Inspire is really a pro/am' vehicle in anything other than wind free conditions.

I used 1448 props on my Inspire 1 and have no issues with wind, but then again I didn't feel I had any with the factory DJI props either.
