Sailboat Racing at White Rock Lake

This is just a small lake in the middle of Dallas, Texas but it was still fun to shoot. I spent 98% of my flying time over water. I am over being scared to fly over water but I would be lying if I said it still a bit scary.

After seeing all the beautiful places that others are shooting here I am a bit embarrassed to show this but this is not for scenery, this was shoot for sailing.

Never be embarrassed filming- especially this, I love sailing. The opening overhead shot was cool, although I couldn't figure out what tack that last boat was on- must have gone way wide on the marker!

Yeah, I am not sure about that last boat either. It was a bit of a surprise to me when I was editing but it added a littel mystery to the footage I thought.

Where were you piloting from? a boat or the shore? Nice video!

From shore. I was asked if I wanted to do this from the committee boat but there were 3 people on it already and it would have been too tight. Plus I had plenty room on shore and still not too far from the race activity. The farthest was about 3/4 mile.
