Switched from ipad mini to Nvidia Shield K1 Not working

The ipad mini works fine with go app and Litchi. I picked up a Nvidia shield K1 and all I can see is disconnected.. The question I have is do I have to do something to pair that to the controller. I have installed the apps to the Shield. Are there certain setting I need to modify in the shield. Any help would be appreciated or point me to where I can find the info.

First question... is the Nvidia Shield K1 updated to v7 Nougat?

Pretty unlikely that's possible...Nvidia has a pretty serious strong hold on this device and it's updates.

I would stick with the iPad. I have a Shield and several iPads. Even the aging iPad Mini 2 gives a smoother experience than the Shield tablet.
The Shield is actually the best Android experience with DJI Go than any other Android device I've tried. This includes Galaxy Tab S2, S3 etc. and it's still worse than any iPad.

There is a Shield K1 Upgrade. I upgraded my K1 Android 7 Software to Version 5.2 (24.29.404.153) that I read was a Software upgrade from May 2017 to correct the Nvidia Shield K1 Android 7 problems. I've had no problems since then.
