What is 'multiple flight mode' ?

Self explanatory. Wondering what this is in the Pilot App and do we need to play around with it or not.

As I just learned, it effectively activates the toggle switch on the RC for the different modes of flight. By default, it is off. If you are a competent flyer, it should be on so that toggle switch will respond to the mode of choice.
