Workflow and Camera Settings X3

I'm getting confused...
I see a lotta videos from the X3 which are very crisp! In some posts I read to set the camera at 4K, LOG mode and -2, -2, -2 settings. However my iMac is too old to handle such files... Maybe in june I get a new iMac (5k).

But if I want to shoot in 1080, what are the recommended settings? In LOG mode my video is very blurred especially trees with no leaves. I also saw a video suggesting to use REC709 (???)
Do people use the DJI transcoding tool?

Can someone suggesting a step by step workflow?

I edit my videos in Premiere Pro CS6.

So if shot in log don't color grade in none then I can play with it.
@Tegels I place my i1 over grass and foliage play with the settings until it's what I like. Green is the tricky color. Premier pro if want to get fancy but plenty of homework.

'gruvpix' is incorrect, NONE is basically the REC709 Gamma Curve.
