Apologies if such a thread exists, but I couldn't find such a dedicated discussion in my searches.

Does anyone have any 3D printer files or links to creations for the Inspire 1 to share?

I'm hoping that Bjorn can create one for my RF-V16 GPS tracker. Is the side of the landing gear the safest place to mount such a tracker (in terms of magnetic/compass interference)?

I purchased an Inspire 1 lens cap from: http://www.ebay.com/itm/221683341887?redirect=mobile

and an ND lens case from:

Hey Ascender ..probably the best place to mount the tracker would be behind the battery ( if someone made a mount that spaced it out away from the battery to avoid magnetic interference between the battery on the inspire and the battery in the rf-v16 )
Another place would be near the center of gravity on a arm near the cockpit. . Something that would mount around the arm with a flat spot to mount the tracker on..
or velcro it on the arm like in my pictures I posted. .
I went over a mile with mine on with no signal problems..
Check out shapeways on line ..they have a bunch of 3d printed stuff..tdp..

I haven't verified these dimensions from an earlier post:
the rf-v16 tracker measurements are 41mm L ×36mm W ×17mm H

Ah, just found the user manual for the RF-V16. It lists:

40 x 34 x 14mm
Weight 27g
