Controller charging iPad

I've set my standard Inspire 2 controller to charge my iPad whilst using as a screen. It does not seem to be doing this. Maybe it only works to charge a phone? Anybody have any hints/comments, Thanks Ian

It only works below a certain charge threshold (40% from memory)

Try a different cable. Also try reorienting the cable. Also, beware that there is a bug in the iOS that will net a "Not Charging" message when in fact, the iPad IS charging. The only way to know is to record the iPad's battery percentage before and after flight. At the very least, you should be breaking even.
