Controller only flying Inspire 1

Good Morning,

I am going to ask separate questions incase someone else need a solution. Inspire 1 CE1313 t600

Controler is CE1313 GL658A

Should I be able to fly my drone with just the controller? No Iphone attached?
Should it fly with a broken HDMI module

You need a host to install the DJI app on. (Android or Apple) HDMI will not effect use. Easy to remove if broke

Yes.

I have not tested this, but you CAN fly without an HDMI device attached. So I assume that a broken HDMI module won't make any difference in flight characteristics.

You do not. Furthermore, you don't need the app to take photos or video, either. Naturally, due to lack of tablet you won't be able to see what you are recording. But there ARE hard buttons on the controller for taking video and shooting photos. You can even control exposure, shutter speed, etc. But, again, without seeing an image on a screen, one would be guessing.

Thank you Mr. Frank!! I trying isolate the problem. My controller does operate the camera and take photos to sd card in the camera. My controller just does not fly the drone or operate the landing gear. I guess my next step is to make sure the software/firmware in the drone and controller are compatible...
I have tried to pair the drone to the controller with little red button on the drone but the little led next to the red button drone never lite up??

Hi,
I have new info. I took apart the controller. I was going to reflash the chip but?
My hdmi board does not look like any of the picture I have found. Is it possible my controller is only a camera unit?? and the hdmi board was never meant to fly the drone??

I am still trying to bring back my old/new inspire.. I did the "Magic Key" method from Mr. Frank. (Thank You). All the lights flashed everything look great. I used the bin file in another thread.
The controller even linked to the drone and showed a solid green light!!! I have never seen the green light on the controller!!!
The controller operates the camera and even take picts to the sd card!!

The controller still does not operate the motors? or link to the GOapp.

I was hoping to just fly the drone with out the iphone to see if it works??

Help any ideas?? Am I close??

Hey Suncat33770 I know its a weird question? you have tried pulling both sticks to bottom inside positions, if it not arming the motors then you really have a problem.
