I've made a few of these already and decided to offer them up to others who may be interested.
It's a custom designed 3D printed mount plate that attaches under the Inspire 2 (haven't tried it on a Inspire 1 yet, would be willing to send one to someone who has an Inspire 1 to give me feedback). It uses a 1/4-20 thread common to tripods. It doesn't block any sensors or effect the flight characteristics in any significant way, so it can be left on between mounting on a tripod or flying aerial shots. Currently I attached my Proline tripod quick release plate and I can fly it, land it, then snap it on and off the tripod. It is made out of silver PLA filament, and is very sturdy. I've inverted the tripod with it mounted and there is very little to no play. Other materials/colors are possible but cost would be handled on a case by case basis.
If I'm able to sell enough I plan on lowering the price. For the Inspire Pilots forum I am selling them for $60 shipped USPS flat rate. Located in Springfield, MA. Allow 3-5 days for shipping if I don't have any on hand.
