Do all Micro SD cards need the latest FW update file?

I've bought an additional Micro SD card as I'm doing some shooting and want a spare if needed.

Is it necessary (or advisable) for me to put a copy of the latest firmware update file (.bin) in the root directory of the new card before using it in my Inspire - or can I just leave it blank, format it and use it?

I've searched everywhere for an answer but can't find one which probably means it's obvious, but all this is new to me and better safe than sorry. Any advice gratefully received.

You only need it on one card and update the Inspire, RC and all battery´s with that one before flight.
When you have updated, then you have no need for the FW-file anymore, if you not buy another battery..
