Something similar happened to me recently, with the current firmware. Took off (manually), was at about 30 feet and it suddenly lurched in one direction and was quickly flying away from me. I looked at my controller and saw that it had lost GPS, but then regained it a second later and I retained normal control for the rest of the flight. Whole thing lasted 1-2 seconds. No obvious reason for losing the gps lock other than a "glitch" - this thing even gets a lock inside my house, and on this occasion I was out in clear space.

I flew this morning and made sure to check the sensor values after I calibrated the compass. Everything was within the proper limits but I was still having TBE (I'll post video tonight). Is this just something that's going to happen even if everything is properly calibrated?

Ed suggested flying a bit to let the machine adjust. This is not uncommon in Phantoms where the auto magnetic declination algorithm needs a bit of time (ie a minute or two) of actual flying (hover won't do) to fix itself when flying in a significantly new location. Try that.

Exactly the same thing happened today. No reason to lose GPS - but it did for about 10 seconds shortly after taking off.
