FINALLY APPROVED ND-FILTERS !

Great news, Renaat!

Upon reflection, I agree that in order to limit the number of possible combinations, an ND gradation of ND2 at 1/3 sky/ 2/3 land on a solid ND8 and ND16 would be the combination most frequently used and would only add two filters to the set.
Thinking same way, super. We will also wait for first impressions with the new filters, personallyI have no time to do tests, I count on you guys.

Hi Renaat, a good idea for your next project could be a way to mount ND filters on the Phantom 3, perhaps a push-fit collar with threads to accept the filters. This would sell like hotcakes once Phantom pilots discovered them!

Hi Dimitris, that seems a challenge too. But I see DJI will produce them ? See http://forum.dji.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=12838
Perhaps we can produce better ones and an idea of the price ?
I do not have a phantom and can not imagine what should be the best mount, is weight an issue ? I need to see the actual lens cover, seems you can unscrew this big metal ring. I am thinking to invent a new metal ring with same exterior thread as the Inspire1 camera, so fans can use them on both and the also the future filter ail probably will invent. Thanks.

Awesome. DJI will produce ND filters for the Phantom but not the Inspire?
I am thinking to create a new barrel for the phantom vision to mount all Inspire1 filters…. The more, our filters are of better quality (tested at factory). I only need to find some one who can unmount the vision barrel and give all specifications. We can make a lighter barrel able to "screw on" the actual and future (gradated as polarizers are useless) filters. What do you think ?

There you go ya. It won't get lighter than 3g, for sure. Good idea.
seems the vision barrel is rather heavy, making the the same with the possibility to screw on Inspire1 filters must be possible. Other wise, making a very light weight barrel with the possibility to screw on 2 of our super light filters with a special thread. But we need produce new frames with at outside an internal thread. Thinking …. only experience Vision fans can advice...

My filters just departed from Cincinnati. Thanks so much Renaat, you the man, exceptional follow through.

I am very happy for you. We the same, too much deadlines. But yesterday I just tried them out, the ND degrees are correct and no remarkable color shifts, even for the ND64. We all are happy ! ;)

Thanks for the link, I was not aware of that! However, if they actually intended to produce filters for the Phantom, why didn't they just put threads on the lens from the beginning? Looks to me like an afterthought.
