Firmware Update Continuous Tone after D-D-D-D and Solid Red Light

OK, I understand.

Looks like the loader in failing in the Inspire 1.

Can you down load off DJI website again a NEW firmware BIN file and format the SD card before coping the new BIN file to it?

Then repeat the firmware procedure again?

Try this once more.

OK?

Hi Rilot.

I did try that earlier today....

I think the update was not complete the before I turned the copter off and now it is just messed up and cant read the file.
But Thx mate : -D

All right guys..

Ill format card and get a "new" version of the firmware...
Gives me a chance to check the TXT again :-D

Reboot the aircraft and try to upgrade the firmware again.

Does anyone have an older firmware I can try? just to see if that can be uploadet to the inspire?

I had the same problem, red light and nothing happens. This was after only 2 flights. I guess I should of left it alone and not updated the firmware. I couldn't get any resolution from where I purchased it from, so after an hour on the phone with DJI they gave me an RMA number and return UPS label and sent it in for repair. 3 weeks now and still waiting...You need to call DJI and let them know what happened.

I am stuck in the same process...

I got an issue upgrading the firmware of the Inspire one from firmware 1.2.0.17 to 1.2.1.03.(iOS pilotapp 1.1.1)

I have already made updates of the Inspire in the past and everything went perfectly smoothly at that time. Just to mention that I am used to the update procedure.

After approximately 10 minutes D-D-D-D I got a continuous D Tone and a solid red light. I got that in the log :
========== 2014.01.01 00:00:10 unsynchronized ======

Packet: WM610_FW_V01.02.01.03.bin

Result: Failed.

Reboot the aircraft and try to upgrade the firmware again.

I have rebooted 5 times and after some hours, still the same result.

The update of the remote control went very well. What’s weird is that it rebinds to the craft (when no SD card inserted with firmware.bin in the craft). It only says sometime aircraft firmware update required in the status (blinking occasionally). I can even start the motors after bypassing a popup warning and calibrating the compass. I can control the gimbal, see GPS status, video link graph, etc. BUT there is NO video signal. Trying to launch the update again gives the same result...failed after 10 minutes.

Anyone in the same deep sh*t ? A fix or advise ?
Thanks !
Thierry

Looks like Firmware upgrade finish failed (step = 2, err = 0xf6). is the key in the detailed log.

Any idea from this ?

That sounds like "call support and give them tat log, and pray you don't have to send the whole thing for repair".

Yeah... it's has been sent to support a while ago...seems that DJI is not working over the week-end ^^
Will update the thread with the solution, fingers crossed !

So...the bird is going back to DJI :-(
[15 00] device not detected is related to the video transmission module (DJI support said). I tried to finalize the update with my supplier by replacing gimbal/cam with another one. No luck.
They say that the turnaround time for Inspire maintenance is around 2 weeks now (EU center in Germany). I hope so.
I felt confident after my first firmware update 1.2.0.17....now if will think twice before updating. What a crap !

This thing will never fly..

I just got the Inspire yesterday - I have never been flying with it and the firmware upgrade killed it.
Jesus..
3000 dollars out the window.
same i have been on this for over seven hours a now my inspire has gone into some kind of depression just bleeps every two seconds and sounds like a pruning cat with a red light and sound like an old printer is this what yours is doing

I was but I just started the process (firmware update) over again and it works. It took longer then normal but it finally finished.
