I just got the chance to fly my inspire1 in Israel. I live in Midland, Texas. What are the rules? Please help with information as I'm leaving this Sunday April 12 - 21st. Recording video and pictures. Using the drone I hope.
Thanks
Roger

This is what I found.

The CAA would like to emphasise that flying a UAV for recreation or sports (as defined by law) is prohibited in the following circumstances:
  1. In forbidden areas as published (Page on caa.gov.il)
  2. At a distance of less than 150m from a cloud base
  3. At heights exceeding 50m above ground, unless specifically authorised by the Aerial Trafficking Unit governing that airspace, unless the published regulations prohibit the designated area completely.
  4. Where current daylight visibility is less than 3Km
  5. At distances less than 250m from a residential area, a school, a cinema, or any crowd.
  6. Less than 2km from an airport, air-traffic tower or any runways
  7. Less than 500m from an active drone training grounds unless granted permission by airport administrator, or otherwise published in the regulations."
