I guess it was bound to happen

Went back to the field. Burned through 3 batts, and no issues. Beginner mode is kinda boring, but will stick with it for a while yet!!

Right on Kenny!!
Glad to see you got back behind sticks and flew your inspire !!
So what do you think was the problem??
Turbo..

No idea..... It flew great.
Only thing I noticed, not sure if it's just the way it works.

When I slide sideways, the camera image tilts. It doesn't stay level. I never did any rec before the tumble. So not sure.

I was lucky, the field had just been seeded, so the ground was very soft.

I take it, beginner mode limits the speed as well?

I'm not sure, I didn't use that setting..
But when you feel comfortable you can switch to multiple flight modes which will allow you to fly in atti mode..
When in atti mode the inspire can hit a top spped of over 50 mph in calm conditions..
I suggest flying in GPS mode while taking off and landing or when you're in tight corders..
When you reach a 100 feet in altitude you can fly in atti safely..
Remember it will coast in the wind so be aware..
Also use the map to guide you and keep you on your flight path..

I'll go out on a limb and say maybe you're getting a false reading due to the moisture in the ground..
Try and fly somewhere else and see if you still get a bogus reading..
Make sure when you are getting ready yo take off your directional pointer in your radar is pointing the same direction as your ac when you're standing directly behind your inspire ..
Then unlock the compass in the map and check to make sure it lines up with the pointer in the compass..
Then figure out which way north is and make sure the compass in the map is pointing north..
If all this lines up more than likely your instruments are working correctly..
Again always use a screen recording device so you can review your flight in case of a problem or in this case keep an eye on the elevation numbers..
Glad to see you escaped sending your i1 to dji and were able to rebound quickly from your crash..
Might want to stay away from water until you are confident in your ac and your abilities..
Turbo...

First - really happy you're flying again.

Regarding you're altitude, wow. I'm not sure if the reading is from the sonar or GPS. Regardless, it's wrong (unless you're flying in Badwater Basin in Death Valley).
Did you perform a full IMU calibration before taking it up again?

Yesterday I did not. This morning I did.
Took it out again. Still not reading correctly.

Noticed, when turning it off, the camera no longer rotates to remove the sd card.

Looking at the video, I just realized, it exceeded the max distance for beginner mode.

Note the height and stick direction.

Going to contact Dji....

They said 5/6 weeks.

Owned it for 3 days, off to service for 6 weeks! Yay.
I also get to pay for shipping it down to Cali!

Question for you all.
I calibrated my Inspire yesterday. I still always do this.
I went to check my sensor values (after I updated and am on new ios).
After I calibrated I was not able to locate the sensor tabs.
When I came home, and the bird was off, I found the sensor tab but it was blank because the bird was off (obviously).
My question, when checking mod values, I assume the bird needs to be on but without the motors started?
I know where the sensors are located in the app, I just don't know why I could not find them when everything was on.
Ideas? Have bird on but no motors running? App problem? Re-install the app?

The Bird and the controller need to be on and linked. You can see the MOD values anytime they are connected, motors spinning or not. I like to keep this screen open during the first couple of minutes of flight, just to keep an eye on things.

You need to ask them for a return slip. They will not offer it but will provide you with a shipping slip if you ask.

Thanks for the reply.
I wonder why I couldn't see them last night...
I will try again later today.

I did ask, but they said I have to pay down, they pay back.

All I want is the rma, so I can get is shipped out.
Been waiting for it since Monday.
