Inspire 1 battery mod: never ending crusade ...

I've just been buying these. And replacing the cells. I don't really care much about the battery counter, by not resetting it will I run into an issue? not sure

Also is it obvious to me that there are some folks selling battery replacements for 500+ dollars, who do full counter resets, different capacity sizes. etc. They all seem to be using PHẦN MỀM VÀ DỤNG CỤ SỬA CHỮA - REGEDIT GROUP , as the tool to crack the passkey.. as this BMS is not specific to just DJI stuff, not legal of course...
This is a new player on the market ... Interestingly cells appear to be already soldered to a sub-board with balancing harness socket, which is a nice feature. Doing such by yourself is a nightmare. That said, God only knows what is the real value of this pack and how the original BMS will react to the transplant. I hope the proper sequence of soldering is explained somewhere, since this is critical. Otherwise the BMS may lock themselves into non-reversible state of hibernation ...

Except for the fact that the label states they are for Mobile phones. Oh, and delivery is by August 21st, or your money back... LOL!

But, in all seriousness, if they are available, and high quality, why not. The refab of these is a huge PITA, but if someone wants to roll the dice, let us all know how it turns out.

But, as dobmatt stated, you really need to redo a lot of programming to make a "new" pack work properly.

Wonder what kind of mobile phone needs a 6000mAh 22V Battery!

yeah I am super skeptical, zero instructions, when contracting the vendor they told me to get an authorized dealer to do the battery swap.... Will post more at a later date since I haven't had much experience with the pack yet. I did do a live swap with the power connected to the board at all times which I think was the trick.

THe price is right though if the batterys turn out to be any good.

Uhm there is an explicit indication on those cells, "Charging Limit: 23.5v"; Inspire 1 chargers work at 26-point-something volts, I wouldn't overcharge lithium batteries...
Also the chemistry is plain Li-Ion (not adequate for high current), remember you need to pull more than 25amps from those poor cells to make the Inspire fly.
Too risky to me.

project 2 recycled phantom 4 lipos.....

test run from original builder

Of course with X5 gimbal payload and average, much more aggressive flying, the flying time will be most likely reduced to 8-9 minutes ... Not much for practical use, but hey, it is some solution undoubtedly!

ok DR. Frankenstein is at it again.......just have to figure out how to change MAH in software and add longer temp sensor meet the new 10000 mah TBPulse
