But on topic.. I have also lost contact with my drone around a naval ship. I did reconnected and got my drone home again.

.Sorry to hear about the loss of your Inspire 2. I feel your pain. I've flown a lot from steel ships with DJI products and can say with certainty that it's getting harder with recent firmware upgrades. It seems that the compass calibration issues are much more acute. In the past I was able to take off in at mode from if the drone was held up in the air.
I don't believe that radars cause problems. I've flown close to them frequently. It seems that the steel can cause problems when you get near it in GPS mode. I've had flyaways in GPS mode, but always been able to "catch" the drones again by switching to at mode.
I hope DJI can resolve tis issue soon!
