** INSPIRE 2 - NEW T MOTOR FOLDING PROPS **

Can anyone tell me how long these props should last under normal flying conditions? I had 2 loose red props and ordered some more DJI. The new V2 Red props are tight but the white one are loose!! :( So I want to order these but I have seen no mention of how long they should last. Thanks!!

There is not a lot of hard time requirements for replacement of props. I typically replace plastic props between 35-50 hours. I am comfortable with CF props going to 100-150 hours assuming there were zero prop strikes with anything. Of course thorough cleaning and regular preflight inspections are required. Each pilot should have some sort of plan in place for retirement of props depending on usage and environmental concerns.

Thank you. Exactly what I was wanting to know.

The inspire 2 with the T-Motor props will not fit in the original case from DJI and would require modification to do so. Some modification will also be required on the GPC hard case. It will however fit in the GPC backpack with no modification.

Just a thought here.....I have not received my T-Motor props as of yet and have been thinking of other ways to modify the lid and still keep as much of the foam structure intact. Has anyone tried to modify the stock case lid so that the T-Motor props face at a 90 degree-ish angle inward? I would think this would still accomplish the same result and keep the part of the case that supports the arms of the I2 intact. Are you selling a modified case or do we just modify ourselves. I have done this to the DJI stock case with no problems. Just prefer the factory look. Thanks.

We are working with a case manufacturer to build a case that will fit the T-Motor or Heliengadin props. We will keep you updated on our progress. Until then you will have to modify the case.

Florida Drone Supply is excited to share with you the new Winglet folding Props that are designed, patented and manufactured by T-Motor.

T-Motor is a long respected name in the propulsion sector of multi rotors; specializing in motors, speed controllers and props.

The newly designed Winglet prop furthers the technology and innovation that allows our drones to fly longer, use less energy and increase the efficiency of the airflow off the tip of the propeller.

Winglet design is used on many aircraft wings - from small private jets to large airliners.

Wing tip vortices refer to the spiraling air the coming off the tip of the propeller. With an ordinary tip, there is a strong vortex created at the tip parallel to to prop. With a downward winglet, the vortex is weakened and moved away from the airfoil (or surface of the prop) allowing for smoother airflow and more efficient lift.

Now, on to cosmetics!
You will immediately see that these props are smooth, glossy and beautiful looking. This is customary of T-Motor; putting great effort into their finishes.

Mounting the Props
Florida Drone Supply worked for months with T-Motor to alter the hub and mounting to allow the Winglet prop to mount directly to the Inspire 2 motor without the use of hubs or 3rd party adapters. This allows for a quick and easy attachment to the motor - and allows your folding props to stay mounted at all times.

Flight Speed and Efficiency
In our testing, we compared fixed props, other folding props and winglet props side by side (and simultaneously with 3 Inspire 2 copters at a time). The hover time seemed to remain the same, but the Winglet props really shined when the copter was in motion. In fact, we achieved speeds in GPS mode up to 30% faster than any of the other props while applying the same throttle. In a head wind, the Winglet props flew at nearly the same speed as a tail wind while the other props moved the Inspire 2 at a substantially slower rate.

You can expect to experience improved flight times if you are continuously keeping your copter in flight.

Price and Availability
These props are available now at www.FloridaDroneSupply.com and can be purchased in a set of 2 (1 pair), a set of 4 (2 pairs) or a set of 6 (3 pairs).

You will find them featured on our home page or with the Inspire 2 accessories.

They are also on an introductory sale for Black Friday Weekend.

Thanks,

I too have been looking at different motors, and testing props, but when the company sent out the forced upgrade that cut the top speed about a year ago, do you think the upgrade causes the speed controller to reduce the top speed?

So no-one thinks I would make this up or say anything negative: This is the link to what I mention-
DJI drops the speed specs on the Inspire 2 and apologizes to customers

Torx 8 is what I've learned the screw is for the mounts. I did as someone else suggested and applied some heat to the screw using a soldering iron for ~50 seconds and all screws came out easily.

I've modified the GPC case as well, looking forward to trying them out. Thanks Florida Drone Supply.WIN_20180410_22_50_27_Pro.jpg

Well just tried my first test flight and could not lift off, leading me to believe I have the props mounted incorrectly. I found it difficult as they do not have a stamp on them telling which is for CW and which is CCW. I did match up the props I thought correctly prior to taking off the mounts but I don't know where my error occurred in installation. I put the T motor prop with the R at the end of the numbers as the CW prop but I guess this is wrong. One prop has an L at the end of the numbers on the prop and the other an R. Can someone confirm the correct prop for the correct mount?

Too bad as I guess my GPC guess is cut incorrectly now too.

EDIT: I see from an earlier post here that the prop with the L should be on the CW mount. Guess I have to switch and do more cutting.

Beauty of the Allen key screws of the T motor is that I now have them taken off and installed on the correct, I hope, mounts. A 10 minute job to uninstall and reinstall the T motors. The factory screws, oooof, those Torx screws.

What is the size of the Torx on the factory mounts? I have a T10 but it seems a little big and starting to strip out one of the screws @Florida Drone Supply

We have used a T9, some people say they used a T8. We recommend a soldering iron on the screws to help loosen them. Some have also tried to remove them after a flight when the motors are warm with success.

We have been working with
It seems that there are some great news regarding the Inspire 2 carbon fiber propellers designed by HeliEngadin-Koptermax. New design, 100% carbon fiber and best look ever.
Check them out at Inspire 2 folding CF propellers

We have been working with Koptermax for a couple of months with these new props. We will have them in stock shortly.
