You are abandoning your i1 in a tree? Can you not find someone to climb up and cut it loose?

Yep....It's in a unclimbable tree (well unclimbable according to my dad) about 70ft up....Only real option is to get someone with a utility truck by the time they can get out here to get it, it will have rained and the aircraft will be a paperweight, rain starts tomorrow through monday.

Wunderground.com for Seattle is showing "chance of rain" (0.08") for Sunday -- first "serious" rain is Thursday -- 50% probability for 0.51".

Andy.

I've seen on YouTube where they have been sitting in water fully submerged and flew afterwards! I wouldn't give up just because it might rain.
Alright alright, I'll make an effort...maybe my depression slump is over
I've seen more than one report of an I1 that went for a swim and was back in the air after drying out. Don't give up that quick even if it does rain.
A tree service is cheaper for sure!

Take a picture of the tree and I'll send you on your way.. Either or a portable tree stand and DIY choke pipe will Git R' Done providing you have a local hardware store and/or outdoor shop or even a friend that Hunts[emoji6]! When there is a Will, there is a Way[emoji106]!

.... who would have thought that a post in the "Classifieds" section would have all the elements of a telenovela: Drama, Suspense, Danger, and even a Wedding...

Just like cragislist ;) I'd move it but I don't gots no power to do that

Here's the tree. it's about a 90 footer...inspire is about 80ft, right up towards the top. I circled the inspires location in red, you can make it if you pixel peep...and you can see it from the ground.

Haven't heard back from any tree guys as of yet. My buddy is a project manager for an electrical company, talk to him today see if he can make something happen

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt...-Nylon-and-Polypropylene-Rope-14066/202048175

use safety harness around trunk
pull pole up with rope
hook and lift inspire
bring ispire close and attach rope
lower inspire (guide thru end of pole coat hanger loop to avoid branches if required)

climb down.....

if you are uncomfortable climbing, post on craigslist as that is NOT an unclimbable tree to anyone that is not afraid of heights... IMHO

Please feel free to climb it than....you'll spend a few hours slaying blackberry brush just to get to the base. yeah with climbing gear I'm sure it's possible but I don't climb trees for a living therefore I have no climbing gear....

if i wasn't 700 miles away i would climb it for you. a safety harness can be rented at most rental places for a few bucks. to get across the blackberries i would lay a few planks on top of them creating a walkway rather than cutting a trail. -- just offering suggestions.
