Inspire1 remote channel

Wonder if someone could help me out . I'm trying to figure out when do i know I'm on a strong channel to fly on. On the remote it has Custom and auto mine was set on custom and help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The strength of the signal used to control the I1 is not the issue. It is fixed at 100mW (by law in the UK). The channel display only applies to the video downlink (Lightbridge). What matters is whether there is interference and competing use of the 2.4GHz band, the same one used by many other devices including key fobs, wifi, etc. The only way to tell is to go to somewhere where none of these exist or to use a hand-held spectrum analyser to check what you are competing with.
