Maps and no wifi

As many mariners are aware there are many apps the overlay GPS data and locations even in areas with no cell or wifi service, They do this with apps that use stored (not just cached) maps that live on the device as part of the app. As a nature photographer that spends a great deal of time in remote areas, I was wondering if anyone has heard of a similar app for us UAV guys, and if not could someone please make one?

Great idea. I would pay for that app.

At yesterday's DJI presentation in San Jose, the DJI rep said apps are in the infancy stage. Perhaps submit your idea for a mapping app using stored maps to the San Mateo DJI office? That's where the presenter works.
