Sticky stuff on cable? Need some help

I was cleaning my Inspire just now, and noticed something different. First I thought it was some dead insect on the cable, so I used a toothpick to push it off. Then I realized, it was something gooey on the cable. After looking at the cable, it seems DJI put some sort of sticky stuff to attach 2 cables together. Possibly to avoid it getting in the way of the legs when going up and down? From what it seems, the cables look fine. Just that stuff on the cables is what freaked me out. I assume you all have the same sticky stuff too right?

No, My cables are clean
Correction.. on closer inspection there appears to be a strip of adhesive tape that sticks the two cables together, I guess it is designed to keep the overlapping cable from getting trapped by the landing gear mechanism..

Yeah I assume that's what is showing for me. It's coming undone as you can see in the picture
