TrackR tracking device

I ran across this today and wonder if anyone has used it as a tracking device for the DJI Inspire.

In a very populated area with many TrackR devices it can work. But it depends on 'crowd GPS data sharing'. The TrackR itself transmits over bluetooth which has only a short reach.
It is more useful for finding stuff around the house.

I rather use a stand alone GPS device with a prepaid sim. Bought 2 of these:
Motorcycle Motor TK102 Mini GPS/GSM/GPRS Personal Pet Spy Real Time Tracker

Cost me about 25$ each including the added customs taxes.
