Yellow box on iOS app?

Dumb question. What is the small yellow outlined box with the small "x" on the upper right corner of the box on the iOS app display? It moves to wherever you tap the screen and it will also follow close the the " blue" circle when you are changing the angle of view of the camera

Believe that's for exposure settings. If you tap on a dark area of the screen, it will brighten up (more exposure), and if you tap on a lighter area of the screen, it goes darker.
